Value of self is leading and believing, and knowing you are worth the resources to develop your potential! ~ Tracy Worley

My mentor John C. Maxwell talks a bout the Law of The Mirror where you must see value in yourself to add value to yourself. “If you put a small value on yourself, rest assured the world will not raise the price.” ~ John C. Maxwell

MarketValueShield Tracy Worley

Value, Value, Value. . . imagine walking down a busy street market where the vendors are shouting out the value of their precious meats, produce, and wears. As you hear the vendors shouting value in the back of your mind you know what the true value is for a pineapple so are you is going to give you true market value for it? Are you going to ‘haggle’ for a lower price than the true value of the vendors cost?

Now imagine walking down the same market street where the vendors are shouting out what your value is. Yes, this is tricky isn’t it? Ninety percent of my coaching clients are in transition from starting their own business or leveling up to a promotion. The most important exercise we work on is their MIRROR MARKET VALUE. Personal perception is the #1 stumbling block to successful people asking for what they are worth and moving into positions they deserve.

To find your MIRROR MARKET VALUE here are a few steps and questions to ask yourself along the way. Honestly, the main reason people fail is low self-esteem. Where are you as a leader and how and what can you do moving forward to lift  your team to the next level? A start is to go through the following.

  • Look In The Mirror: Who are you, what are you doing today, and where do you want to go? Truly it is the exercise of “Mirror, Mirror, on the wall who has value amongst  you all? ANSWER: YOU!
  • Self-Esteem: Zig Ziglar states it best, “It’s impossible to consistently behave in a manner inconsistent with how we see ourselves. We can do very few things in a positive way if we feel negative about ourselves.”
    • Self-Talk: If you are positive, then  you can help to create a positive self image.
    • Comparison Trap: Stop comparing yourself to others! We are all uniquely and individually made! Go back to your strengths, gifts, and talents; I guarantee there is no other just like you!
    • Limiting Beliefs & False Truth: Identify a limiting belief, determining how it limits your success, decide how you want to be, act, or feel, and then create a statement to move up and out of the limit. I call this “truth”, so often we accept a false truth in our life which in turn prohibits our growth. Perhaps in stead of limiting belief, ask  yourself what is a truth I am accepting that is false.
    • Add Value To Others: It is hard to feel, act, or think lowly of ourselves when we do something good for someone else. When I work with clients in transition of their next job and t hey have “free” time. It is easy to feel down as your day is no filled with meetings and productive outcomes. The first thing I have them do is volunteer! Yes, find an organization you believe in and volunteer. This keeps your happy endorphin’s activated until you are fully engaged in your next position.
    • Discipline: Oh NELLY, this is not one of  my favorite words but essential to success in any area of your life. Discipline is a morale builder; boost  yours by taking small steps daily to take you in a positive direction..
    • Vision Your Value: Having a positive vision of your life and taking action to fulfill  your vision, you will recognize what matters to your value, gifts, talents, and SUCCESS.
    • Responsibility: Responsibility gives us control toward the positive MIRROR MARKET VALUE we desire and deserve. You matter. Your live an have, and you can make a difference-no matter where you have been or where you are today!

Back To The Market: imagine holding a shield with all  the above written on it, it is your MIRRORED SHIELD OF MARKET VALUE! When the vendors are shouting what your value is they now see a reflection of confidant belief you matter and worth the Market Value of YOU!

Who are  you? What do you do? Where do you work?Tracy Worley Dream

The above area all questions we ask ourselves but also what we ask others at social events, networking, or even back yard BBQ’s. To know yourself and to know others is to create abundant AWARENESS of who you are and why you MATTER!

To reach your full potential is to have a direction in who and what to pour into your life. To grow is to also know and find the following to set the direction forward.

  • Your Strengths: Play and work within your strengths, there are so many assessments out there you can take. The best way to hone in on your strengths is what do people as you for help with the most?
  • Your Weaknesses: Know what they are and then delegate! Example: if you are not savvy with social-media find someone who is and spend your time doing what you do best!
  • Your Interests: What do you love doing above anything else, what articles to you find yourself reading, what are you mentoring others to excel in?
  • Your Opportunities: Where are you now and what opportunities are open to you excelling? Are there activities and or relationships holding you back from the next level of your succcess? This is a whole other topic and the law of sacrifice as to go up you must give up. T

To reach your full potential you must work through the above area’s as you must know where you are today and where you want to be tomorrow.

“Potential²= knowing where you are and where you are going.” ~ Tracy Worley

Becoming aware of self is to find your purpose, passion, and make a plan! There is a formula to finding out your plan for success you desire and deserve! We invite you to join us for an 8 week course where you will not only increase your awareness but also walk away with your personal plan to be, do, and have what you DESERVE! Here are a few questions to ask yourself as we move forward with this series:

  • Are you personally aware?
  • Do you like what you are doing now?
  • What would you like to do?
  • Can you do what you would like to do?
  • Do you know why you want to do what you would like to do?
  • Do you know what to do so you do what you want to do? Awareness/Action/Accountability/Attraction
  • Do you know people who do what you’d like to do?
  • Should you do what you would like to do with them? Mentor/Mentee

Are you willing to pay the price to be fully aware of your gifts, strengths, and talents? In any change the reality is fear and doubt as we live in our current state of “security” but at the end of the day you will remain STUCK until you are willing to pay the price to starting living a life of PURPOSE instead of a life of someone else’s plan.

If you don’t you’ll have to prepare to give up your dreams and any hope of reaching your potential.

These gifts give her the ability to strategize with clarity where you are, where you want to be, and how to get there. Tracy’s expertise: training highly successful people to lead with authenticity to the desired success her client’s desire and deserve.

In the board room, volunteer meetings, and discussions with our kiddo’s what does the phrase “you need to be intentional about what you are 968963_10200440255627637_315395286_ndoing” mean to you?

More than likely the person or group making the statement has not implemented “intention” in their life. Think about the statement for a moment it SCREAMS “we are in a situation”, instead of a proactive planning situation.

Leadership and teams thrive on not only the leader being intentional about everything on their calendar but also their team. ” Ask  yourself who or what keeps creeping into your daily agenda and interrupting your mission? Are you being intentional in saying  no? Are you being intentional of leading for the future instead of the “we are in a situation”?

“You cannot change your destination overnight but you can change your direction overnight.” ~ Jim Rohn

The Law of Intentionality is about growth if self so you can help grow others. As John C. Maxwell shares there are Growth Gap Traps:

  1. The Assumption Gap: Assumption you and your team will autocratically grow.
  2. The Knowledge Gap: I don’t know how to grow.
  3. The Timing Gap: It’s not the right time to begin.
  4. The Mistake Gap: Afraid of making mistakes.
  5. The Perfection Gap: I have to find the best way before I start.
  6. The Inspiration Gap: I don’t feel like doing it…JUST DO IT!
  7. The Comparison Gap: Others are better than I am.
  8. The Expectation Gap: I thought it would be easier.

Wherever you are in honing the growth of your craft, leadership, or learning something new the best time to start is today! Now that you have a glimpse of the gaps of growth look at your calendar for the next 12 months. How much time have you scheduled for personal growth? If you’re like most people, your answer will be none. Or you may have planned to attend one event int he coming year and honestly that is not going to cut it.

A first step is to rework your calendar so you have an appointment with yourself for personal growth every day! (STOP the thoughts of I do not have time). Do it anyway, if you want to succeed, you need to do whatever it takes. get up an hour early. Stay up an hour later. give up your lunch hour. Put in extra time on the weekends. If you don’t you’ll have to prepare to give up your dreams and any hope of reaching your potential.

I am instituting this is NATIONAL THINKING PARTNER DAY!think big, dream big slogan on blackboard

I want to celebrate by asking you. . . ARE YOU THINKING INTO YOUR SUCCESS?

The main benefit to thinking into your success is you create a proactive life vs. a reactive life. Yes, when we spend time everyday thinking about our success it creates the synergy of laying the track before you arrive at the destination of desired success. The other main benefit is creating life-long friendships when you bring THINKING PARTNERS into your life. Thinking partner’s keep you in focus of your WHY and ask you the tough questions to keep you in focus.

Today as I look at my calendar and also few unscheduled calls are people who are strategic thinking partners toward the success of my personal and professional life. They all invest in my WHY and allow me to invest in their WHY! Here are a few ways to identify and or “hire” your Thinking Partners!

  • Do they have knowledge and willing to give/receive effort toward a definitive purpose?
  • Do they have an abundant mindset vs. a competitive mindset (ill they lift you to succeed over their desire,)?
  • Will they refers clients to you even if it is a project they could also bid for?
  • They have same energy level or higher (this is imperative to stay lifted and growing).
  • Are they available for you to daily ask “what do you think about this”?
  • Do they have the results in this area I am working on?
  • Ask questions, questions, questions (pushes you to next level).
  • Can you plan with strategy with support of failing and willing?                                                                                  Modified from Napoleon Hill, Think & Grow Rich

Anybody can wish for riches, and most people do, but only a few know that a definite plan, plus a burning desire for wealth, are the only dependable means of accumulating wealth. Napoleon Hill

Thank you ladies for bringing STRATEGY AND THINKING  into my life!

UPDATE: I tapped into one of my Mentorship calls with Paul Martinelli this morning and the subject of thinking partners and who is in your life was the subject matter. What you think, believe, and create a harmony with is what will pour into your life! I had a question and contract I am working on; I asked Paul one question and in the awareness he brought up a simple state I would not have immediately seen because I was aware of one ‘track’ and not laying forward the other pieces.

The amazing fact is they navigate the trail without a lead. Just set the Donkey’s on the trail and they will navigate without micro-management.

I am blessed to live in the rugged Rocky Mountains and a lot of our back-country horse friends have swapped out their elegant steed for a Mule or Donkey as they are more steady, less spooked by change, loud noises, and whether the tough terrain without a lot of fuss.

This is great opportunity to look at your team. As Jim Rohn states eloquently, “You are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with.”  Your team spends a lot of time with you and each-other.

I use the word DONKEY as an acronym for leaders to do a quick check of where they are in the spectrum of team awareness:

If you have answered no to any of the above DONKEY questions this is a great opportunity to reflect, respond, and re-evaluate your process to let your team step up to the rock-face with confidence!

 FOCUS ~ CLARITY ~ DISTRACTION

Yes, I asked the question and Poop is the word!

When working with my Executive clients I have found a common denominator when they are not on track, loss of focus, clarity is cloudy, and distracted from their main goals and purpose.

The common denominator: They are busy playing in someone else’s sand box!

What does this mean? When you are at a high level of success innovation and creativity is imperative to moving your organization and team forward. The tendency at this level is to look, play, and model what other people are doing; play in their sand box.

When playing in someone else’s sand box I can guarantee you will be the one to dig up all of their Poo-Poo that has been buried. Your organization has a unique culture, purpose, passion, mission, and vision all your own for a reason. So stay in your sand box, invite others to play in yours to build, innovate, and create sustainable organizational mission, vision, purpose, and passion. Caution, be selective of who you invite in so they do not leave a smelly deposit behind and your team has to spend time cleaning it up.

A Few Sand Box Tips:

  • Invite others to your sand box to add value to your organization.
    • You know where the poo-poo is buried so you can stay focused in the Main Thing.
  • Visit and invite others to your sand box.
    • When playing in some one else’s sand box; observe and ask a lot of questions
    • Invite trend leaders to your organization and ask questions and have them give perspective fitting your purpose, passion, mission, and vision.
  • Create space and time for your team to innovate and create
    • Weekly or monthly team meetings to white board ideas.
      • Invite others in your organization not on your team for their perspective
      • Invite experts outside of your organization to glean a different perspective.

NOTE: These conversations with just your team or inviting individuals from the outside give you an ROI of better processes, boost of energy to your team, and often an outline of best practices implemented to a level of achievement you did not see before.

Are you in your sand box today? Is there someone in your sand box that needs to be scooped out?

 More on….the sand-box next time!

Is Your Leadership on Auto-PayTracy Worley AutoPay

I recently came to a conclusion that Auto-Pay does not make my leadership easier. I have found myself in situations where Auto-Pay was not working and then receive a notice of PAST DUE.

Which begs the question is my leadership PAST DUE? Please bear with me as with Leadership always parallels to human stories and there are far too many stories where individuals pass-away but their accounts stay in auto-pay for months.

Two Questions: would your team navigate the plan with clarity if you went on Auto? Would your team even know you are on auto?

There is a definitive fine line between leading with involved clarity and letting your team do what they do best vs. being completely absent (the third is micro-leading).

With all negative or positive situations I sit back and ask myself a few questions:

  • What did I learn?
    • How can I apply for future success?
  • What or how should I move forward?
    • Small course adjustments.
  • Is this still a correct course toward the goal?
    • Is the main thing still the main thing?

If you Google the benefits of auto-pay all sorts of benefits come up from saving time, security, easy, cost-savings, convenient, etc. . . . Leading an organization or team we tend to apply auto-pay to our day. When hiring individuals the expectation of what is required of them is in their job description. However, how often do we communicate with clarity the objective, planned goals, and the benefits of their role?

Here are a few ways to take your leadership off of auto-pay and into engagement where true success lies toward your organizations planned goal:

  • Clarity
    • Gives design to your purpose.
    • Gives direction to your team.
    • Creates innovation in developing strategies and systems to keep within the lane of the desired outcome.
    • Goals are measured progress; create a plan with clarity and everything will build toward your success.
    • Integrate a plan as goals are the measured components to success.

Systems permit ordinary people to achieve extraordinary results predictably.” ~ Michael Gerber

  • Message
    • Communicate to your team frequently; remember it takes around seven times before a message is received.
    • Communicate the message in several ways; verbally, written, and in practice.
  • Model
    • Daily if not weekly model the behavior and follow the system of clarity set into place.
    • Your team must see you in action and not AUTO; action lends to modeling the behavior to success.

“Knowing the future is difficult; controlling the future is impossible. Knowing today is essential; controlling today is possible.” ~ John C. Maxwell

Leadership on auto-pay leads to destruction and rarely leads to the desired outcome. Leadership is intentional by checking in daily/weekly and engaging in conversation with your team to sustain the clarity and momentum to your planned success!
