Customer Service IS Your Brand

Engaging clients in a meaningful way is your brand.

Did you know customer service is your brand?

This past week I experienced two significant customer service scenarios. As providers we forget clients are humans and remember first and foremost how we made them feel.

Your clients can and will purchase product/services from competitors. Clients will do so even if your competitor’s product is inferior to yours; where clients feel valued is where they will purchase.

The first is I called our phone provider for service. I was on the phone for over 40 minutes with no resolution to our issue. At this juncture I had to jump off the call to make my coaching client call. I went to a local store for help and again no resolution. As a human being these are hours I cannot get back and “no” return on my time. How did I resolve our issue? I called the phone manufacture directly and they took care of me promptly, with care, and had a replacement the next day. We are now under serious consideration to move our business elsewhere as this company is consistent in not caring for clients.

The second customer service experience is with a direct product company. I have been a customer with them for about seven years and certainly have not spent as much money or years with them as I have with our phone provider. My experience with the call was prompt, courteous, and resolved my human-error issue without judgment. I received great care and concern for my order. I walked away with a huge return on my time as this conversation was less than 15 minutes and I felt like a winner.

This brings me to your brand. How you and your employees show up is your brand and how referrals if any will be passed forward.  Here are a few things to consider:

  • Does your organization take action in what you say you will do?
  • Does your organization go out of your way to welcome clients?
  • Does your organization stay in contact with previous clients?
  • Does your organization empower your clients to succeed with your product and/or service?
  • How do clients feel when they have shopped or received your services?
  • Biggie! What are you and your employees posting on social media?

If you want to know more please feel free to reach out to us. We have several tools you could easily implement to glean client satisfaction. From here you can build a strategy for strong brand communication.

Are You Creating Success With Courage?

Courage is Earned and Learned

Yes, I am asking you! Are you creating success with courage? Courage is learned, earned, and an added value to your success.

Definition of courage is the ability to do something that is uncomfortable. Strength in the face of pain, risk, or grief.

Recently  I have traveled over 600 miles driving across Montana, USA. In this travel I met entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, and government officials. There was a consistent theme with their successes and it comes down to three simple things: faith, passion, and failure.

All three of these simple things take courage to stand up to your success, passion, and ability to create something no one else can. Think about the following as all of them were an idea which took courage and has changed lives across the world and generations: tires, light bulb, flight, internet, space travel, and so many more. . .

Faith: Continue to believe in what you are building.

Passion: Create an inner circle of advisers to keep you on the rails of faith and your why.

Failure: Risk is part of success, it will happen. Take note of what you learned and keep moving.

Courage encompasses all three simple things to create the success you desire and deserve. A few questions to ask yourself:

Blessed, met and learned from so many great leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators today! Lt. Governor and Governor took time for Red Shoe Courage!

Blessed, met and learned from so many great leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators today! Lt. Governor and Governor took time for Red Shoe Courage!

  • Do I believe in myself and the project more than anything else?
  • Am I willing to let other activities pass while I create?
  • Do I have faith in myself to take risk and willing to keep moving forward when there is a fail?

Challenge: like, share, and comment one thing you learned from taking a risk! You have something to teach the world.

Dream Your Dream

Red Shoe Courage Workshop

Dream, Vision, and Plan beyond today!

In 2013 I had a dream, vision, and then made a plan and that was to share my story to lift others to a better tomorrow. As you grow up into adulthood the dreaming “button” gets hidden and I am here to tell you there is not such thing as you are too old to be a “dreamer”. We are NEVER too old to dream, vision, and plan beyond today.

This weekend I had the utmost pleasure and blessing to pour into a group of extraordinary ladies during the signature event From Grace to Red Shoe Courage. And the following is just one a few outpouring of Gods grace during the event as hearts were stirred up, spirits were lifted, and old truths were shed!

God delights in your purposeful passion. Dream your dream and change your today for the tomorrow’s God desires for you! “There is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live…This is the gift of God.” ECC: 3:12-14 NIV

This is a note posted regarding the event and my dream in 2013 was to serve those who love what I do, value what I do, and let me dream my dream.

“Shout out to Tracy Worley! I was so blessed to participate in her Grace to Red Shoe Courage Workshop last night and today! She has the ability to tell her story, focus on truth telling scripture and help the attendees draw closer to God and release strongholds! Time and time again I’m in awe of the amazing women God has put in my life! It was great to attend the event with  and many new friends! Make sure you don’t miss Tracy’s next event!!” Shelly Wear

“It was incredible! I’m so glad I got to go last night, but sorry I missed today.” Stephanie Neil Gaertig

Remember to dream your dream and not live someone else’s!

If you want to halt progress in personal or organizational progress just say the word, change.

Door_Opportunity

No one likes change; very few understand how to lead it. One of the main reasons people resist change is the perception of loss, they take it personally. It is like that infamous statement, “the only person who likes change is a wet baby.”

Change is awkward, change rubs against tradition, and the timing maybe wrong. There is a guarantee of failure if change is not embraced when there is a need to do so. Without change there can be no creativity, innovation, and launch to the success you desire and deserve.

“We cannot become what we need by remaining what we are. If you desire growth, then you must embrace change.”~ Max DePree

An optimistic person who has an attitude of adventure and tomorrow will come no matter what happens today is who you want on your team or inner-circle. The heart of success and creating your secret success sauce is you must give up something to go up. As we learn and glean new experiences to be better tomorrow than we are today we cannot continue to do everything or carry everything. This is where leading and delegating change comes to play toward your success.

  • What are items on your daily agenda that should now be delegated?
  • What activities no longer hold value for who you are today?
  • What fear is holding you back from accomplishing your next goal?
  • What time clock are you waiting for; the right times is now and not wait for everything to be perfect.
  • What bogeyman is blocking the doorway?

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself-and possibly the bogeyman.”~ Pat Paulson

Attitude toward change is the difference maker in creating the future you want! Change can lead to those things we call PROBLEMS but I see problems as opportunities and not an obstacle. Problems are the gateway to solving and creating innovation. If you watch the show Shark Tank most products or services are solving a problem people or organizations have.

One of my previous clients was Wal-Mart and their culture embraced opportunity vs. problem. Their culture was every Opportunity Tracy Worleyproblem is actually an opportunity to solve and be creative in daily business. They continue this today so when you receive a call from Wal-Mart corporate (any position from executive to associate) they will state, “I have an opportunity.”This is another great example in practice of how one word can change your world.

“Positive thinking is how you think about a problem. Enthusiasm is how you feel about a problem. The two together determine what you do about a problem.”~ Norman Vincent Peale

I encourage you to look at problems as an open door others are not willing to walk through and create an original idea or product!

Think positive by creating opportunity of new doors you may not have seen before!

What tools of discovery will take you to the next level of your secret sauce?

Discouragement for me is that deep sink in my tummy where fight or flight comes to my mind. This is where my awareness turns to the understanding that this is NOT a great time to make decisions. Why? Because within discouragement you may also be experiencing fear of change, problems or failure, and our imagination creates larger obstacles.

My husband and I do a lot of mountain peak hiking, and to our wonder we will see people turn around before they get to the top. With only a short way to go people stop and turn around thinking they have “seen it.” However, when we get to the top there are views of glacial lakes, butterfly fields, and miraculous views of wildlife.

“Ninety percent of those who fail are not actually defeated. They simply quit.” ~ Paul J. Meyer.

It is my desire to walk alongside you to have an encouraged heart to the top!

Most people quit due to wrong expectations, and this gives them a way to just give up instead of GET UP! So find the right perspective in your expectations. No matter how dark life seems, it does get better through your tenacious attitude and secret sauce of success.

This story paints a perfect picture of no matter how things look now, the right perspective encourages heart for you and your team.  A man stopped to watch a Little League baseball game. He asked one of the players on the bench what the score was.

“We’re behind eighteen to nothing,” the boy answered.

“Well,” remarked the man, “I have to say you sure don’t look discouraged.”

“Discouraged?” the boy said, puzzled. “Why should we be? We haven’t come up to bat yet.”

What benches are you stuck on discouraged because you cannot see to the next inning? The most successful people overcome the greatest obstacles. Their success did not come from circumstances, but from their attitudes.

Paralysis of perfection will keep you from obtaining and creating your success. Be tenacious and look at life realistically, where you are, where you want to go, and do not despair! Move forward with the mountain-top in mind and rest in the valley of perseverance and tenacious attitude toward serving those you are meant to serve.

It has taken me five years to learn this lesson well and keep moving, even when it looks like everything is against me. Reality usually shows its true colors, and nothing is impossible!

And together we stand at life’s crossroads

And view what we think is the end,

But God has a much bigger vision

And He tells us it’s only a bend.

For the road goes on and is smoother,

And the pause in the song is a rest.

And the pat that’s unsung and unfinished

Is the sweetest and richest and best.

So rest and relax and grow stronger.

Let go and let God share your load,

Your work is not finished or ended,

You’ve just come to a bend in the road.

Success in your personal and professional life is taking an ingredient from all our experiences, wins, fails, bloodied knees, and elation of success. The idea of creating you from a recipe card is a false expectation to be like everyone else. Your journey to the top is a pinch of this, a teaspoon of that, and a cup of tenacious attitude.

What is your secret sauce to being a difference maker in your life?

Attitude_Sauce Tracy Worley

The basis of leading and making a difference is all about attitude and what it can—and cannot—do for you and those around you. I have a confession to make. Early in my career and youth, I was the one where my parents and co-workers would look at me and say, “Check the attitude at the door.” I did not have a bad attitude, but a very inquisitive one, and had not yet learned how to harness my “why” questions to team build. The way I asked questions did not build collaboration but separation.

To sustain success you cannot separate self-esteem, character, or attitude. All three must be part of your reality to lead authentically and to be a difference maker.

From The Difference Maker here are some areas to consider for reflection and change toward making the difference you desire:

  • Attitude cannot substitute for competence
    • Competence is what is needed to accomplish a job, but attitude completes the circle of contentment and daily joy, not only for yourself but also for those around you.
  • Attitude helps with your health (mental and physical)
    • Change if you can.
    • If you cannot change your circumstances, then change your attitude.
  • Attitude takes work.
    • Personal growth should be part of your daily and weekly calendar.
    • Don’t give up even when it feels like the easy thing to do.

Creating a plan to be a difference maker in attitude and understanding reality does not substitute for choosing your attitude. In 2011 on a brief phone call, I learned I no longer was employed due to a third round of downsizing. Was this a blow? Absolutely! However, I did not let the experience keep me down. I kept a forward vision and took actions one step at a time, even if they were baby steps toward the future I desired and deserve.

Moving forward has everything to do with a positive attitude, perseverance, and not sitting in a stinky pool of pity. I kept moving forward toward the next adventure in making a difference in other people’s lives. I hope you are one of those people.

Challenge Question: What is in your calendar to ensure you are not sitting in a stinky pool of pity?
